Here are some ideas and tips to combat fraud:
DON’T SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
COCUNAT will never email or phone you to ask you to reveal or verify your COCUNAT account password, bank account or credit card numbers, or any other personal information. If you are contacted or you receive an unsolicited email requesting any of the above, do not respond and report it immediately to COCUNAT so that we can investigate the incident.
HOW CAN YOU IDENTIFY FAKE EMAILS?
Ignore any email you receive asking you for personal information or that redirects you to a website other than Cocunat.com or Cocunat.es, or that asks you to pay outside Cocunat.com or the Banco Sabadell payment gateway, as this could be an attempt at spoofing or phishing and must be considered fraudulent.
Emails sent from COCUNAT will have addresses ending with "@cocunat.es" or "@cocunat.com". If you receive an email with a different format, you can be sure that it is a fake email. Some phishing emails contain links to websites that use the word "Cocunat" in their URL but will direct you to a completely different website. If you hover your mouse over the link, you will see the associated URL, which will likely be in a different format than those linked on the real Cocunat websites. If you do click on a phishing email and are redirected to a page that looks like "Your Profile" or any page that asks you to verify or modify your personal information, ignore it and consider it fraudulent.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IN THE EVENT OF ATTEMPTED PHISHING?
Send an email to seguridad@cocunat.com and attach the email you believe to be fake. By attaching this fraudulent email, you are helping us to find out where it has come from. If you are unable to attach the fake email, please forward it to seguridad@cocunat.com and include as much information about it as possible.
